Events;

Sunday, June 22: Please join us on a very interesting and educational historical tour of Haiku. Visit a number of sites that were significant to the Hamakua Loa region and hear the story of each area, including a former sugar mill in Ha’iku town that is otherwise inaccessible.  There will be two bus tours, one at 10 am and one at 1 pm, as well as a side trip to Coconut Grove/Kuiaha Bay.   Lunch will be provided.   The tour is sponsored by Haiku Living Legacy Project and Sierra Club Maui Group.  The tours will leave from Haiku Elementary School, on Pauwela Road near the Hana Highway.  The Haiku Living Legacy Project is a 501c3 organization and a suggested donation of $15 will be appreciated.  Join us for this unique opportunity to visit places that are not open to the public and to hear talk story from local kupuna.   Space is limited and reservations are required.   Call Kathy to register at 572-5662
